WHO: Raisa Nosova, muralist and fine artist is an Adjunct Professor, NYU, MFA, Studio Art, NYU, graduate Urban Glass in Brooklyn, NY and solo exhibitionist; Theodore Art Gallery, New York, WSE Gallery, NY, Interior Spaces, Paris, etc. Raisa Nosova has created murals in Milan, Italy, Manhattan, Jersey City and Brooklyn to name a few. Raisa has been exploring the topics of nostalgia, interruption and destruction in her work. Although known as a painter, Raisa’s recent experience of becoming a mother have pushed her to dive off into new disciplines such as glass sculpture and performance art. In her practice she dissects, peels, slices, unveils and reorganizes extreme experiences to help process the impacts. RaisaNosova.com

In the words of the artist: My work opens a platform for discussion on the topic of trauma and resilience. I seek to bring awareness to the emotional baggage that survivors have to conceal in daily life. I dissect, peel, slice, unveil and reorganize extreme experiences in my studio practice to help me process the impacts.

We Build Tampa Bay: In partnership with OXH Gallery – A Vision for Art and Motherhood: We are Tampa Bay’s first and only women’s museum – We Build Tampa Bay initiative creates culture beyond the bridges. We highlight m/others and others in the arts, science and herstory. By amplifying women’s voices and creating networks of joy, MoM & OXH Gallery work in community to foster compassionate, inclusive environments that uplift individual stories and celebrates women’s vital role in our cultural narrative. This mural painting event is made possible by the collaboration between OXH and MoM for the MoM Art Auction, March, 2025.

Health Wellness and Education at the Museum of Motherhood

Health, Wellness & Education events: 2025 initiatives focus on health, wellness and education. MoM has been serving the community through its programing, exhibits and collaborative platforms in Pinellas County since 2019. We reach people where they live, work and play through our family-friendly exhibits, education and arts exhibitions. MoM’s ‘Escape Womb Experience’ is focused on the science of procreation, personal advocacy and the art of m/otherhood.
