Second MoM Art Auction Fundraiser & Acquisitions Event

Join this exciting opportunity to partner and participate with a visionary museum and leader in the field of Motherhood and Mother Studies. The MoM collects, preserves, and disseminates Mother Made Art with a passion for the cultural, social, and historical issues and experiences that affect women, inclusive of all reproductive identities. This call to action to elucidate the art, science, and herstory of women, mothers, and families is at the forefront of the Museum’s mission and vision.
The Art Exhibition and Auction of October 2024, will launch our second fundraising art event to celebrate art, build our permanent collection, and raise much-needed funds for our “We Build Tampa Bay” fundraising initiative 2024-2025.
All submissions will be considered for prospective acquisitions for the Museum of Motherhood’s permanent collection. Items will be featured online through social media and in person during our Art Auction and Extravaganza. Then for one night in Tampa, you are invited to join us in person for a celebration of art. *Accepted artists will also have an additional exhibition opportunity with OXH Gallery, November 21, 2024 – January 16, 2025.
Submissions should include contact info, a description of your work, and submission of the work (up to 5). The work submitted must be original works in any media including, but not limited to: sculpture, paintings, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry and crafts, photography, and video. Artwork that is selected but not sold will have the option to become part of the museum’s permanent collection. Artists will receive a formal letter from the Museum indicating their donation.
Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2024: By submitting to this call, artists acknowledge and agree to donate all or part (70%) of the proceeds of your artwork to the Museum of Motherhood; a non-profit organization. Artists selected for the exhibition and auction will receive notification from the museum by September 10th, 2024.
Timeline:

- Artwork arrival (ready-to-hang unless other arrangements have been made): October 7-10
- Art Auction: October 22
- OXH Exhibition: November 11, 2024 – January 16, 2025
